Great Lunch Ideas

Considering my site is called LunchHugs® I think first and foremost any links or ideas about lunches will top my list.

I would highly recommend you check out www.mommymoment.ca

This site came to my attention last week and I was so impressed by the amazing designs and creativity found in their Lovable Lunches page. I don’t know about your kids, but mine ask for the most boring lunches everyday. Anytime I try to suggest something new I get “no thanks, I just want a jam sandwich“. (Yuck!)

I think this site might just be the answer. Now granted making lunches like these would take more time, but I believe it would be really fun for parents and children alike. Plus the added nutritional value is unmistakable. I have a hard time getting my boys to eat their vegetables and fruit but when you present them in such a creative way, the focus changes and lunches become an adventure and a surprise. Let’s face it, anything that will get kids excited about healthy food scores super high in my books!!!

But this site is not just about lunches, it covers so many topics that as a mom I find informative and inspiring, plus the writing is engaging and entertaining. Well worth the visit!

Works of Art

If you want to go crazy in the kitchen and make some pretty cool characters with additional links to other web creative food masters I highly recommend you checkout http://www.cutefoodforkids.com/.

The designs are colourful, creative and hilarious. I also like that some include guided instructions that will walk you through the process. Some of my particular favorites are the Angry Bird and Pokemon sections since my boys are crazy about both. And be sure to check out her Halloween section there are some wild ones there!

Jokes I found funny…

Let’s face it, I would be delusional if I assumed you would use a LunchHug every time you put a note in your child’s lunch.

The very idea for LunchHugs® came out of from my frustration at trying to be creative in the mornings and I am hoping this page will help to give some additional inspiration and help to make your mornings easier and your child’s day special. So I will be searching the web for great jokes or sayings or simply ideas to help in the creative process. I welcome you to comment with your own ideas, jokes or thoughts in the hopes of inspiring others ♥

In the spirit of the season, I wanted to pass along some cute Halloween jokes that are sure to bring a smile!
